The Glory of His Presence Pt. 1
Series: None
This is the first half of the first installment of this sermon, based on Isaiah 6:1-8. In this message, Pastor Charles explores the effects of Isaiah's vision of the Lord in terms of his having been enabled to see God as he is, see himself as he is and therefore to hear the call of God. This is the first half of Jan. 10's sermon, which was to be continued on Jan. 17. However, a cd recorder malfunction prevented us from making the second installment available. The first sermon is presented in two 1/2 hour segments.

What Part of “No” Don’t You Understand?
    Series: Romans 8
Some think that Romans 8:1 contains the greatest promise in the Bible: "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus." In this sermon, Pastor Charles poses the question, "What part of no don't you understand?" If "yes" means "yes" concerning every promise in scripture, then "no" must certainly mean "no" in this awesome declaration by the Apostle Paul.

    Aftermath!
    Series: None
    Text: Acts 4:23-35

In the wake of the resurrection, the Apostles and the newly-formed church in Jerusalem stand tall as they proclaim the powerful message of the resurrection, amidst threats, intimidation and persecution. They don't ask for deliverance, they ask for more boldness! This message is a call to us all to be people of the resurrection, people who contend for boldness, hunger to see God's healing power at work around us, and are drawn into covenant community.

The proof that God raised Jesus from the dead is not the empty tomb, but the full hearts of his transformed disciples. The crowning evidence that he lives is not a vacant grave, but a spirit-filled fellowship. Not a rolled-away stone, but a carried-away church.  -- Clarence Jordan
